Great news… from Monday May 17 the club will be open for members to play competitive squash.
However, some significant safety restrictions remain in place.
Please be sure to:
- book your courts in advance
- arrive at the club no more than 5 minutes before playing
- maintain scrupulous hygiene while at the club (as before, wash hands on arrival, avoid touching surfaces etc)
- clean door handles and other contact points when leaving
- arrive dressed to play and please don’t linger. Changing rooms/showers will remain closed for the immediate future
- do not bring spectators or guests to the club
Please note:
- court bookings are for 1 hour in order to allow 15 minutes aerating before the next players arrive. Please respect this as the alternative is to revert to 45 minutes, with alternate time slots blocked – we prefer not to do that
- if all goes well, we may be able to restart box leagues and club nights in June
Members who wish to newly resume playing should contact the club secretary. so that their booking rights can be reinstated. If you do not wish to return to play yet, then membership will remain suspended until you decide to resume.
Let’s hope we are nearing a return to unrestricted access but in the meantime, please respect the remaining restrictions in order to keep yourself and everyone else as safe as possible
