Congratuations to Ben Welton who won the Club Championship for the second year in a row. (Saves us getting the sign painter in to update the Honours Board! ed.). Unfortunately the final was uncontested due to injury(?).

Team Player of The Year Award
A brand new trophy, to be awarded annually The Team Player of Year has been added toth e trophy cabinet. In its inauguaral year it was presented to team stalwart Dave Archer who just pipped Graham Braithwaite to the title. The trophy goes to a player who has made a solid contribution to all aspects of team squash throughout the season. To be in the running for the 2015 award, players need to be regular members of the team who pull their weight and do more than ‘play and go’.
Club Captain Shayne Holliday hands over the new trophy to Dave Archer for the time being. Dave gets to keep the replica, but the trophy will be awarded to the 2015 Team Player of the year at the end of the 2014-15 season.
Plate final
The plate final was a good match between veteran club member Graham Braithwaite and junior member Alex Greenwood. Well played both. No trophies were awarded but Graham won a bottle of whiskey and Alex bagged a new Dunlop racket donated by England Squash.
