Club night is back
Keen club-nighters will be pleased to hear that club night will resume on Friday 20th August, with the first court available at 18.20.
If you’re attending, please be sure to sign up or log in for this.
Please be cautious – current government guidelines say “… in order to minimise risk at a time of high prevalence, you should limit the close contact you have with those you do not usually live with, and increase close contact gradually. This includes minimising the number, proximity and duration of social contacts.”
Why there is a web-cam at the front door
Please be aware that the web-cam and the QR code on display at the club are there to help trace and stop the spread of coronavirus.
When the club re-opened earlier this year, we were obliged to keep a log of people entering and leaving the club, as part of the national track and trace regime. We opted for a web-cam at the front door as this would accurately provide the information without the need for people to physically sign in. It also provides some security. The front door access record does not provide this: it simply records which key fobs are used to open the door.
Court timetables back to normal soon
The normal court timetable (45 minute bookings) will be restored next month. At this point ‘breathing space’ for courts will no longer be timetabled.
