At the opening of the event Tim Crake was presented with a glassware momento to mark his incredible 50 years as an active playing member of the club. Our Chairman, Andy Chant, took the opportunity to recognise the wonderful support he has given the club as a committee member and for taking responsibility for the upkeep and maintenance of the club. It was great to have a suitable occasion to do it. Tim gave a brief speech, and we’re sure he was pretty chuffed. Tim opened the marathon event and closed it last night with the organiser, Johnny Walker. A special thanks goes to Johnny and his family.
