Child Protection Policy Statement
England Squash and Racketball is committed to creating and maintaining the safest possible environment for children and young people to practice Squash and Racketball at Kendal Squash Rackets Club
We do this by:
- Being committed to building a culture of safety in which children are protected from abuse and harm whilst in association with Kendal Squash Club.
- Ensuring that all our coaches and volunteers are carefully selected, attended a nationally recognised Squash Coaching course and hold a Current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check and accept responsibility for helping to prevent the abuse of children in their care.
- Acknowledging that abuse of children can take different forms – physical, emotional and sexual as well as neglect.
- Responding swiftly and appropriately to all suspicions or allegations of abuse, by providing parents and children with the opportunity to voice any concerns they may have.
- Appointing a child welfare officer who will take specific responsibility for child safety and act as the main point of contact for parents, children and outside agencies.
